Air Arabia has announced the addition of Tashkent, Uzbekistan, to its growing network of destinations served from Ras Al Khaimah. Beginning December 27, 2024, the airline will operate a weekly direct flight connecting Ras Al Khaimah International Airport with Islam Karimov Tashkent International Airport. This latest expansion is part of the carrier’s broader strategy to enhance connectivity and support the emirate’s tourism sector.

Adel Al Ali, Group Chief Executive Officer of Air Arabia, expressed optimism about the new route, stating that it underscores the airline’s commitment to providing passengers with reliable and affordable travel options. “We are glad to announce direct flights to Tashkent, further expanding our growing network from Ras Al Khaimah. This route reflects our dedication to enhancing Ras Al Khaimah’s tourism offering,” Al Ali noted.

The announcement comes on the heels of the recent launch of direct flights from Ras Al Khaimah to Moscow, signaling Air Arabia’s intent to establish the emirate as a convenient gateway for international travel. With the Tashkent route, Air Arabia now serves eight destinations from Ras Al Khaimah, including Cairo, Islamabad, Lahore, Peshawar, Jeddah, Calicut, and Moscow. The airline’s Ras Al Khaimah base will also see the addition of a new aircraft to support its expanding operations. Air Arabia already operates non-stop flights to Tashkent from Sharjah and Abu Dhabi, highlighting its commitment to connecting the UAE with Central Asia.

The launch of the Tashkent route aligns with the emirate’s efforts to position itself as a key hub for regional and international tourism. Ras Al Khaimah authorities have been actively collaborating with Air Arabia to enhance connectivity and attract a broader range of visitors to the region. With affordable pricing and convenient scheduling, Air Arabia continues to meet the growing demand for travel options across its network, while offering travelers seamless connections and exceptional service. The new Tashkent route marks another milestone in Air Arabia’s journey to expand its footprint, strengthening Ras Al Khaimah’s position in the global travel and tourism landscape. – By MENA Newswire News Desk.
